Principle of operation
The high temperatures generated instantaneously by the pulsed laser (peak power up to megawatts) cause the contaminants to rapidly expand, vaporize or peel off after absorbing the energy, and at the same time, the short pulse characteristic (usually nanoseconds) avoids heat conduction to the substrate, thus realizing non-destructive cleaning.
